Using the client

Which platforms do the client support?
The client currently supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X Leopard (10.5), Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and Ubuntu (9.10) 32-bit. 64 bit Windows: First install 32 bit Java and then Diino using a 32 bit web browsers (more info).

Is the client secure?
Absolutely, the transfer to our servers is sent using SSL encryption, the industry standard for safe and secure data transfer.

Where can I download the client?
The client can be downloaded from here.

Can I use the client on other computers?
Yes, you can install the client on as many computers as you like. If you want to install Diino on more than one computer, simply download it again and login with your existing username and password.

How do I uninstall the client?
To uninstall the client you need to be connected to the web otherwise the uninstall will not be totally completed.

How do I upload a file?
Simply Select File Upload from the transfer menu and select the files you want to upload. The keyboard short-cut is CTRL+U.

How do I upload a folder?
Select Folder Upload from the transfer menu and select the folder you want to upload. The keyboard short-cut is CTRL+SHIFT+U.

How do I download a file or folder?
Select Download from the transfer menu. The keyboard short-cut is CTRL+D.

How do I create a new folder?
On the Edit menu select New Folder, and type in the name of the new folder. The keyboard short-cut is F7.

How do I rename a file or folder?
On the Edit menu select Rename, and type in the new name. The keyboard short-cut is F2.

How do I delete a file or folder?
On the Edit menu select Delete. The keyboard short-cut is DEL.

How do I move a file or a folder on my account?
Simply drag and drop the file or folder to the desired location.

How do I use Backup?
On the Backups menu select Configure Backups. From here you can add and remove backup jobs, starts backups, and restore backups. Backups can also be scheduled.
The keyboard short-cut to configure backups is CTRL+B.
