To protect your privacy, your data is encrypted with 2048 bit encryption during transmission to and from our servers. No service offers stronger theft protection. Our patented user interface leaves no temp files on your computer or cookies or other traces common to browser based solutions.
We of course also treat your personal information when you register for a Diino account with the highest discretion and only use it for our own purposes such as statistics, research or commercial offers to you, to enhance your experience of the Diino service.

Why we need your personal information
Diino AB provides customers with an online service, Diino, which can be used to store, access, share and protect important files and to make an instant network. To be able to access the Diino service we need to identify you as a unique customer and make sure that you get the service you have the right to expect, and we require, at a minimum, a first name, last name, password, and valid e-mail address.

What personal information we gather from you
Diino AB will need some personal information from users registering for the Diino service. During registration for a free account, we will ask you for your name and e-mail address. When upgrading to a larger, paid account, we ask you for your credit card information in order to provide you uninterrupted service. Please note that the more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to fit your needs.

When we might ask for additional information
In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information at other times, for example when you enter a Diino AB sponsored promotion or a contest, and if you contact us regarding a problem with the service or with your account. We will keep a record of any correspondence you may have with us. Diino AB may also from time to time ask registered users to complete surveys used for research and statistics purposes. Whenever Diino AB gathers personal information a link will be included to our Privacy Policy.

Your stored files
The customers of Diino use our service to store files. As Diino are intended as a tool to keep your privacy, Diino AB will not review, share, show, print, distribute, or in any other way reveal your files to others except as outlined in this Privacy Policy or the Service Agreement or as may be required by law.

How secure are your files
The Diino service takes your data seriously, protecting it from theft, loss and ensuring it is available to you when you need it. To protect your privacy, your data is encrypted with 2048 bit encryption during transmission to and from our servers. No service offers stronger theft protection. Our patented user interface leaves no temp files on your computer or cookies or other traces common to browser based solutions. With Diino your private files stay private. We also ensure your data is secure from loss with redundant drives and daily back ups. How about Cookies
A cookie is a text file that is stored on the user’s computer to be picked up by the server when the user revisits the web site.
We use cookies to make it easier at registration and purchase and for tracing and statistics.
The information collected is anonymous and contains no name, e-mail address, or any other information that can be connected to a specific person.
Remember that the Diino service itself leaves no cookies when being used.

How about IP-addresses
Diino AB may record your IP address for system administration, monitoring, and fraud prevention purposes. IP Addresses are not linked or cross-referenced with any personally identifiable information.

How we use your personal information
No third parties will have access to your personal information except as outlined in this privacy policy or the Service Agreement. The same applies for customer e-mail list or other user profile information.
Research on customer demographics and behaviour may be performed by Diino AB based on the information provided to us upon registration, during a promotion, or from surveys. This information is tracked using log files, tracking pixels and database history tables. We do this to better understand and serve our customers. This research is compiled and analyzed on an aggregated basis.
Information of others
When you through Diino want to "Send a File" to or "Share a Folder" with someone, you do that by entering that person's e-mail address into the system and through e-mail informing that person of the share. Any contact information that you enter while using the service Diino will be treated with the same confidentiality as your own information. E-mail addresses entered by you when using Diino to share information will not be sold or made available to any third parties.
When using the option "Send a File", you may choose this feature to send a notification message from you by entering the e-mail address (or e-mail addresses) of the person (or persons) with whom you wish to share the file. You also have the option of generating a web link to the file instead, which can be sent as part of your message.
When using the option "Share a Folder" it requires that the person you are sharing the folder with also has a Diino account for that person to be able to access the folder. In case the recipient of your offer to share a folder does not have a Diino account, a free sharing account will be created for that person when you share the folder. Diino will then automatically send an e-mail inviting the person to activate their free account to be able to access the folder you have shared. To activate, for the person receiving the sharing account to activate said account he or she will only need to enter their first and last name and choose a password. The same Privacy Policy in effect for paying subscribers also applies to Diino free accounts.
